A ministering heart carries on when it is at the edge of its capacity. I think it was Oswald Sanders who said, “The world is run by tired men.” I believe that is true. Though many Christian workers across the world are on the verge of collapse and need to take care of themselves and get some R and R, it is also true that the Christian world is run by tired men and women. I recall Anne Ortlund once saying, “Nowhere in the Bible are we told to slow down and take it easy.” She then quoted various Scriptures. We are “to press on,” “be not weary in well doing,” “run the good race,” etc. Our greatest rest and recreation will be ours in Heaven.（Hughes, R. K）
